We make it our business to learn about our community and to share what we know. We build and manage endowment funds for a stronger community today and tomorrow. Our difference is forever.
By working together and partnering with local organizations and caring citizens we provide grants to worthy local causes.
Our goal is to support a wide range of initiatives which sustain and improve the quality of life in Cambridge & North Dumfries.
Here’s how a Community Foundation Works
3 great ways to learn more about what we do is to:

- Join our email list (via the form to the right) where we’ll share what we’re learning about our own neighbourhoods and how we’re helping build a better future.

The Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Foundation mission
The Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Foundation works to connect donors who care with causes that matter. We develop resources by pooling endowed and special funds to allocate grants, and provide leadership in support of the Community, now and forever.
The Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Foundation envisions a safe, vital Community that is resilient, compassionate and socially responsible.
What is the role of Community Foundations of Canada (CFC)?
Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Foundation is a part of Canada’s Community Foundation movement. Community vitality has been the purpose, promise, and passion of the Community Foundations of Canada (CFC) since 1921, when they started connecting donors to community needs and opportunities.
CFC represents more than 190 Community Foundations across the country. Together, we help Canadians invest in building strong and resilient places to live, work and play, from coast to coast.
Our network serves 82% of Canada’s population – from our largest cities to our smallest towns.
Together we hold combined assets of more than $3.8 billion and we’ve put hundreds of millions
back into communities, including more than $158 million in 2013.
