Flexible, personalized and knowledgeable giving.
We value your donation. We know you have many options and choices when it comes to the dollars you invest in our community. Taking a long-term view, we work hard to foster community vitality while helping you reach your philanthropic goals.
We view our donors as partners in building a strong community. We make it easy to create a fund or make a donation that meets your desired outcome by putting your gift to work in any of our Endowed Funds, multiplying the impact of gift dollars by pooling them with other gifts. An endowed fund means your gift keeps giving forever.
How does it work?
A gift to the Smart & Caring Community Fund is a lasting legacy for generations to come. Our goal is to continue to build our existing endowment fund. The capital in the fund is never spent. The income earned from the endowment is used for annual community grants, forever.
Who will benefit?
Organizations apply through our Community Grants program for funds to support their initiatives. A Grants Selection Committee reviews and works closely with local organizations and advisors to recommend grants that will have a lasting impact.

We are here to help you make a difference in a way that makes sense for you and your family. Donations to the Community Foundation come in many sizes and with many different goals in mind. We would be honoured to work with you should you wish to establish your own fund. Click here to learn more about starting a fund.
We are pleased to assist donors to make gifts of all sorts to the community – from shares to real estate, or gifts of insurance to securities, and through estate planning – by connecting them with resources to inform their decisions .
